WHAT ARE YOUR HOURS?
Our hours vary throughout the week, but please see the Hours tab for more information.
IS THERE AN EVALUATION REQUIRED FOR MY DOG TO BE BOARDED?
Sort of. If it is your dog’s first visit to Blowing Springs Kennel, we do require that you and your dog come by for a free visit so we can meet all of you. Due to our group recreation format, we require meeting the dogs prior to their stay.
WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING FOR MY DOG?
The only thing that’s required is a current shot record. We can make a copy of it or your vet can email it to us. If you would like us to use your own food, feel free to bring it with you. If not, we will feed our food (at no extra charge). Each kennel has a Kuranda raised bed for your dogs comfort, but feel free to bring any pillows or blankets for their additional comfort. We want them to feel at home with us!
IS IT REALLY A “NO BARK” ENVIRONMENT?
Yes! There is no other facility that is as clean and as quiet as Blowing Springs Kennel. We are proof that “calm breeds calm” when it comes to boarding dogs. The most common question asked once someone visits is, “Are there really dogs in there?”. Come by and see (or hear) for yourself!
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO TRAIN A DOG?
This is totally dependent on several factors. The first is age of the dog, but more specifically the amount of bad habits the dog has. The second factor is what it is that you want the dog to do. There are a couple of “sure things” when it comes to this question. During your dogs stay at Blowing Springs Kennel, they will be better tomorrow than they are today. The other sure thing is that we will never ever tell you how long your dog needs to stay with us. That is totally up to you. We charge for the days your dog is at the facility training with us. Further, if you leave your dog with us and in the first week we feel your dog is not making progress, we will contact you to discuss your options.
WHAT IS INCLUDED IN THE COST OF TRAINING?
In a word; everything, boarding, food, administering any medications, and supervised recreation time. Also included are the training sessions for the owners. This is the single most important part of our training.
